Inclusive Education
The majority of children with disabilities and other special needs in Pakistan are still missing out on being in school, or if they are in school, many do not receive the support to be able to participate in educational and social activities like their peers.

The AMI School has run an Inclusive Setup for the last 40 years; both by design & default. It wasn’t until much later that we understood what inclusion meant & we had been Inclusive by default. We had been accepting students with special needs from the very beginning without even realizing that others weren’t!
In all these years we have met so many children who have come to us presenting some kind of a special need & we have welcomed them with open arms. Each classroom of ours has a minimum of 2 students with special needs – and you will not be able to differentiate one from another – that’s the beauty of inclusion.
In 2018, The AMI School was made part of a resource guide pertaining to Inclusive education – a Phd dissertation project of a candidate who back then went to Brunel University. Other partners included British Council Pakistan & Dow University Health Sciences. Our staff was trained further on the matter of Inclusion & Inclusive Education when they got the opportunity to visit the UK & Germany where they received hands-on training from many external experts of the field.
We practice inclusion and shall continue to do so in the years to come. In fact 2023 is the year to look out for; without disclosing much, we want to assure parents we have got BIG plans with regards to inclusion. EWPL (The AMI School parent company) is about to come forward with a mega plan to ensure that those who do not get a chance to attend school (as of now) due to special needs, will get every possible opportunity through our platform to make the most out of their precious lives.
